Cloth Carpet Tape

Have you ever seen a carpet curl up at a trade show? Someone walks by and almost trips. Show builders hate this. Cloth carpet tape is designed to fix carpets in place. It is double-sided: one side adheres to the carpet, and the other sticks to the floor. This locks the carpet and floor together. People walk on it, forklifts drive over it, yet the carpet does not move. When the show ends, the tape can be removed easily, leaving the floor clean with no sticky residue. This tape is essential for the trade show industry, and many booth builders purchase dozens of boxes at a time.

The backing of our cloth carpet tape is a cotton-polyester blend or polyester fabric. It is very tough and can be torn by hand across the width, eliminating the need for scissors and speeding up installation. The adhesive is either hot melt or synthetic rubber, with peel strength exceeding 20 N/25 mm, ensuring carpets do not shift or bubble. Tape thickness ranges from 0.24 mm to 0.70 mm, with thicker tape better for uneven floors. Common widths are 50 mm, 60 mm, and 100 mm, and lengths are 20 m, 25 m, 45 m, and 50 m. One of our customers runs large trade shows and uses hundreds of rolls each time. Before switching to our tape, cheap alternatives left glue marks on floors and required extensive cleaning. Our tape allows them to remove it cleanly, saving roughly half the teardown time.

Beyond trade shows, this cloth carpet tape is used in hotel hallways, meeting rooms, offices, and even homes to prevent elderly people and children from tripping on loose carpets. The tape has some moisture and mold resistance, making it suitable for indoor use. The recommended application temperature is above 10℃, as adhesion decreases in very cold weather.
