Technical Characteristics Of Fabric Substrate Tape

Apr 08, 2026 Leave a message

Fabric-based adhesive tape is an industrial-grade tape made with polyester fiber (PET) as the base material and coated with high-tack rubber or acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive. Due to its high strength, weather resistance, and strong adhesion, it is widely used in logistics packaging, pallet securing, and industrial applications.

From a technical perspective, the PET base material of fabric-based adhesive tape is formed into a high-density fiber structure through a biaxial stretching process, increasing its tensile strength by more than three times compared to ordinary PVC tape. It can withstand tensile forces exceeding 50 kg without breaking. Its rubber or acrylic coating uses micron-level particle dispersion technology, resulting in a tighter bond between the adhesive and the base material. The adhesive lasts for more than 12 months, and even after prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light or humid environments, it retains more than 80% of its initial tack. This characteristic makes it a standard feature in logistics and express delivery for pallet packaging and cargo securing, effectively preventing packaging damage caused by bumps during transportation.
