Masking Tape Storage And Transportation

Apr 11, 2026 Leave a message

Masking tape should be stored in a warehouse, protected from direct sunlight and rain, and kept dry and clean. The tape should be stored in rolls, not folded, and rotated every few days or periodically for inspection.

When loading and unloading conveyor belts, it is best to use a crane and lift it smoothly with a cable with a crossbeam to avoid damaging the edges of the conveyor belt. Do not overload or unload, as this may cause rolling and wobbling, loosening of the sleeves.

The warping of masking tape may be caused by insufficient adhesive viscosity, insufficient pressure from the labeling machine, or a mismatch between the surface shape (flat or curved) of the object being masked.

The shelf life of masking tape is typically one year.
