Masking tape is a specialty tape widely used in packaging, printing, and industrial manufacturing. It uses masking paper as its base material and is coated with a special adhesive.
The core structure of masking tape consists of two layers: the bottom layer is masking paper, a special type of paper with a finely textured surface, combining flexibility and tear resistance; the top layer is a pressure-sensitive adhesive, with a specially formulated tackiness to ensure a strong bond upon application and a clean peel. Its key technology lies in the molecular design of the adhesive-by controlling the polymer chain length and cross-linking density, the adhesive layer maintains its tackiness at room temperature, but can completely detach from the substrate under high temperatures or external force, avoiding residue. For example, some models can withstand temperatures up to 120°C, suitable for temporary fixing in industrial processes such as baking and drying.
