Packaging tape (or packaging tape) generally refers to carton sealing tape.
Also known as BOPP tape, packaging tape, etc., it uses BOPP biaxially oriented polypropylene film as the base material. A pressure-sensitive adhesive emulsion is evenly coated onto the film after heating, forming an adhesive layer of varying thickness from 8μm to 28μm. It is an indispensable product for light industrial enterprises, companies, and individuals. There is no comprehensive national standard for the tape industry; only one industry standard exists: "QB/T 2422-1998 BOPP Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Tape for Carton Sealing". The process involves treating the BOPP film with high-voltage corona discharge to roughen one surface, then applying adhesive to form a master roll, which is then slit into smaller rolls of varying specifications using a slitting machine. This is the tape we use daily. The pressure-sensitive adhesive emulsion's main component is butyl acetate.
